“I have been following Dr Murphy's development of the daVinci Mitral Valve Repair technique for a number of years. During that time I evolved from a bit of a skeptic to an enthusiast. We had been doing minimally invasive mitral repairs for 3 years. When we decided to start the robotic program, our team visited Dr. Murphy's program in Atlanta for the clinical training sessions.

We had an excellent clinical training experience, from Dr Murphy's lecture sessions to the OR and lab cases. Dr Murphy has a wealth of knowledge and experience, and it seems most of this is very well documented in his lecture presentations. The illustrations are superb and he backs up all of his educational points with excellent illustrations.

After the sessions in Atlanta, we returned and did three robot cases the first week. We had our own learning curve, but the transition was much smoother than any previous one.”
